Looking to Play Badminton in South Bend/Michiana?
Here's the Story:
There is no club in the area. I have become the contact for people who are looking for a chance to play. I work at Bethel College and am able to find times when the student rec. gym is available. The problem is that we do not have a regular time for play, and the gym is not generally available. During the school year we are only able to play Sunday (8-10 am) mornings. Even these morning times are not always open. Occasionally we are able to play in the evening during a school break in the semester. We have better access to play during the summer months, but even then, it is on an irregular basis.
The bad news: our play is very hit and miss.
The good news: we do get to play from time to time.
Here's How it Works:
I keep a listserve of interested people, and when I can schedule a time in the gym, I send out an email with the information. There is often only a day or two notice. Let me know if you would like to be added to the list.
Cost:
Currently, the cost to play is $2 per session. This does not include shuttles. Players share the cost of the shuttles used each session. This usually runs around $3.
Directions to the Gym:
We play at Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN, in Goodman Gymnasium, which is building #4 on the map (see link below). A door will be propped open on the southeast side of gym (if not, knock hard). There is generally parking near the door.
